This lovely mug is crafted under the supervision of Nakamura Toshito, known as one of the top artists of Kutani ware in fine detailed color painting.

His famous work featuring sparrows is highly appreciated for its delicate and gentle line drawing with neutral colors and detailed design.

The sparrow is believed to ward off bad luck and is a symbol of family prosperity and safety.

Handmade by potter’s wheel, the warmth and thickness of this mug helps keep the freshly prepared coffee or tea warm, fits in the hand comfortably.
